The new Safari Tanks rallye tank for the Yamaha WR250R will be available for sale in the coming weeks. The twin rallye tanks add 10.4 litres to the fuel capacity of the WR250R, giving it a total fuel storage of 24 litres.


DSCN6761This gives the WR250R a range of up to 600km. The tanks work with the Barrett pannier racks.


The new tanks were recently used on Safari Tanks on their Great Australian Bight to the Gulf of Carpentaria, which covered nearly 2300km in five days.


The ride was the shortest south to north crossing of Australia ever recorded, on tracks, roads or stock routes.


Following the record crossing, Safari Tanks’ Robin Box then rode the WR250R up to Cape York and back
