R&V Aqualine started building fuel tanks for one simple reason - owner Robin Box wanted a long range tank to go desert riding with!
After riding the Simpson Desert, the Canning Stock Route, most of the Victorian High Country and a lot of tracks in between, he knew what he wanted – a tough tank with enough range to go the distance.
That first tank was for the Honda XR650R in 2001, and the range has exploded ever since then to cover many of the world’s most-popular models.

RESEARCH
The process for each Safari Tank begins with an extensive research and development process, helped in part by Robin’s own stable of dirt bikes.
After all, it’s product research!
In understanding the intricacies of each bike’s design, our team get to working through the detailed design process. Our number one focus is to increase the fuel capacity of the bike, while also keeping the weight as low as possible to maintain the ergonomics and riding balance of the original product.
PRODUCTION
We are proudly an Australian owned company, and all our tanks are made in regional Victoria – but our tanks are used worldwide, and we ship around the world.
Safari Tanks are produced in your choice of colour and go through an extensive quality control process where we test each tank before it goes out to you.
Our production team in the workshop pride themselves on their quality workmanship and finish each tank like it were to go on their own motorbike.
Most of them are riders themselves!
